Trouble with ROWay™

ROWay requires that your browser accepts cookies to log you in. Many of the functions, including the mapping features, require JavaScript. Please follow the directions below to insure your browser accepts cookies and has JavaScript active.

How to Enable Cookies

To enable cookies, follow the instructions below for the browser version you are using.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0

  • Click "Start" and select "Control Panel".
    (Windows XP Classic View - click on Windows "Start" button and select "Settings" and "Control Panel").
  • Double-click the "Internet Options" icon.
  • Select the "Privacy" tab.
  • Under "Settings", click "Advanced" button.
  • Check the box "Override automatic cookie handling" under "Cookies" section in "Advanced Privacy Settings" window.
  • Under "First-party Cookies", select "Accept".
  • Under "Third-party Cookies", select "Accept".
  • Check the box "Always allow session cookies".
  • Click "OK".
  • Click "OK" to exit.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0+

  • Select "Internet Options" from the Tools menu.
  • Click on the "Privacy" tab.
  • Click the "Default" button (or manually slide the bar down to "Medium") under "Settings".
  • Click "OK".

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x

  • Select "Internet Options" from the Tools menu.
  • Click on the "Security" tab.
  • Click the "Custom Level" button.
  • Scroll down to the "Cookies" section.
  • To enable:
    • Set "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer" to "Enable".
    • Set "Allow per-session cookies" to "Enable".
  • Click "OK".

Mozilla Firefox

  • Go to the "Tools" menu.
  • Select "Options".
  • Select the "Privacy" icon in the left panel.
  • Check the box corresponding to "Allow sites to set cookies".
  • Click "OK" to save changes.

Netscape 7.1/Mozilla 5.0

  • Select "Preferences" from the Edit menu.
  • Click on the arrow next to "Privacy & Security" in the scrolling window to expand.
  • Under "Privacy & Security", select "Cookies."
  • Select "Enable all cookies".
  • Click "OK".

How to enable JavaScript

Internet Explorer 6

  • Select Tools | Internet Options… menu item from the main menu.
  • Change to the Security tab at the top of the Internet Options window that pops up.
  • From the list of zones at the top of the Security options select the internet icon.
  • Select the button near the bottom that reads Custom Level.
  • In the new window that pops up, scroll down to the item that reads Active Scripting.
  • Select the option marked Enable.

Internet Explorer 5 for Mac

  • Select the Preferences menu item in the Edit menu (Mac OS X users select from the Explorer menu).
  • Click on the Web Browser tab. Click on the Web Content bullet item.
  • Make sure the Enable Scripting box is checked in the Active Content section.

Mozilla Firefox 1.0

  • Select Tools | Options... from the main menu.
  • Select Web Features from the left panel of options.
  • Select "Enable JavaScript." (You do not need to enable Java, but it is OK if you do.)

Mozilla Firefox 1.5/2.0

  • Select Tools | Options... from the main menu.
  • Select Content button from the top row of options.
  • Select "Enable JavaScript." (You do not need to enable Java, but it is OK if you do.)

Netscape 6.x/7.x (Mozilla 1.0)

  • Select Edit | Preferences… menu item from the main menu.
  • Click on the Advanced label displayed in the list of options on the left hand side of the Preferences window that pops up.
  • On the right hand side select the checkbox marked Enable Javascript for Navigator.

Opera 6/7

  • Select File | Preferences... from the main menu.
  • Click Multimedia.
  • Under the "JavaScript" heading, select "Enable JavaScript."

Opera 8/9

  • Select Tools | Quick Preferences ... from the main menu.
  • Make sure "Enable JavaScript" is checked.

Safari

  • Select Preferences from the Safari menu.
  • Select Security tab at the top.
  • Make sure "Enable JavaScript" is checked.
